Wine Notes
Winemaker Notes:
Fermented in old barrels. The fermentation was stopped early to retain natural residual sugar. Post ferment the wine was lees stirred for 1 month. One oak stave was added to one barrel to add some complexity to the wine
Viticulture Notes:
2009 was a very good vintage in Gisborne for Semillon. Grapes were harvested very ripe from Richard McIntyre’s vineyard in Manutuke, Gisborne
