As well as making some of the leading dry white wines of the world, Sauvignon makes great sweet wines and combines superbly with Semillon. It represents over half of New Zealand’s grape crop.

Tasting Notes

This pure, single-vineyard Marlborough wine, produced entirely from the original 20 acre block planted in 1998, is an excellent example of what makes Awatere Sauvignon Blanc so special. Low yielding vines have resulted in an intense but delicate bouquet with crisp mineral flavours on the palate. With undertones of gooseberry and passion fruit which are finely balanced with herbal flavours, this wine is full and fruity yet also dry with a long finish, giving Boreham Wood its unique character.

Tasting Note:	A full bodied style of Sauvignon from ripe fruit with intense passionfruit aromas and ripe tropical fruit characteristics, with a hint of herbaceousness.

If you do not like sauvignon too dry then this is the wine for you. It has a floral almost perfumed nose that recedes some really lovely ripe fruit flavours. The finish is luscious and definitely off dry.
