| The top Sauvignon of this tasting, the wine is big, powerful, ripe and juicy with stone fruit flavours, good herbal notes and complexity that lead to a rich, balanced and very persistent finish.

| With 2 Sauvignons in this selection it is rather nice that one is an extremely well known major brand and the other from a new winery. Needless to say this wine is the latter. It is big, powerful, ripe and juicy with stone fruit flavours, good herbal notes and complexity that lead to a rich, balanced and very persistent finish. Keep an eye on Boreham Wood - they are going places.

Boreham Wood Sauvignon Blanc 2007 |
| Tasting Notes |
This pure, single-vineyard Marlborough wine, produced entirely from the original 20 acre block planted in 1998, is an excellent example of what makes Awatere Sauvignon Blanc so special. Low yielding vines have resulted in an intense but delicate bouquet with crisp mineral flavours on the palate. With undertones of gooseberry and passion fruit which are finely balanced with herbal flavours, this wine is full and fruity yet also dry with a long finish, giving Boreham Wood its unique character.
