| Rosé |
| Rose is made from red grapes that are allow to macerate for a limited time, usually 12 to 24 hours. Maceration occurs when the juice is allowed to remain in contact with the crushed grapes from whence it came. Rose production has exploded in the past few years. In turn, this is leading to the creation of an export market for these wines. Pinot Noir and Merlot are the varieties most commonly used in New Zealand. |

| Winemakers Notes |
After a couple of years of hibernation the famous Chard Farm Rose makes a triumphant return. The excellent 2006 harvest produced a wealth of ripe fruity Pinot Noir allowing us to make this special wine.
Strawberries and cream with candyfloss and toffeeapple notes. The wine is fruity and fresh with vibrant sweetness and a long finish. |

| Tasting
Note: |
The long cool fermentation has enhanced the delicate rose petal aroma. The fresh taste of cherry and strawberry fruit flavours from the Cabernet Franc and the perfumed spice from the aromatic Muscat grapes used, make this wine ideal to drink now or over the Summer months. The screw cap closure ensures confident cellaring free from cork taint. |
