| Delicious nose of sweet, ripe fruit with a hint of lychees. A fine bead of acidity runs seamlessly through the wine and marries beautifully with the fruit flavours. The result is an elegant and harmonious wine. Enjoy.

| Winemakers Notes |
|
Hand harvested and whole bunch pressed, the wine was tank fermented at a low temperature and back-blended with non-fermented juice to achieve a low alcohol wine and to retain natural freshness of aromas and flavour. Aged in the bottle before release in October 2006. |

Esk Valley Black Label Riesling 2004 |
 |
| Tasting
Note: |
This is a light and delicious wine in a Germanic style. Low alcohol and some residual balance the crisp acidity, making for a balanced and very drinkable wine, ideal as an aperitif. The flavours while young are lime, apple with hints of tropical fuits, which with time will become more complex, with toast and honey notes. |

Note: |
Citrus flavours are balanced by a thread of acidity which gives the wine an attractive finish. The underlying fruit concentration makes this medium wine an ideal match for lighter food styles. |

Undeniably a good wine now but one that is also going to improve with age. The nose is floral, almost smelling of violets whilst the palate has strong apple flavours that are crisp and juicy. The finish is clean and persistent. |
