Daniel Lambert Wines Ltd is please to announce three major new growers join the portfolio.
From Burgundy we have introduced Domaine Clos du Roc based in Macon-Loche. This quality based grower has plugged the final gap we had in the Māconnais region of our portfolio.
We have already seen a good uptake of these wines in the 3 months since we added them to the range. We strongly believe that with the wines being made from the Domaine they will appear in many of our customers ranges in the near future.
From the Loire we have been appointed UK agents for Domaine Balland-Chapuis, based in Bue Sancerre. This property will further help as to develop our strong sales in the Coteaux de Giennois. From a standing start 3 years ago we now sell over 3,500 cases of Domaine Villargeau in the UK. Viewed as cheaper version to Sancerre or Pouilly Fume, Coteaux de Giennois is a great AOC to source Sauvignon Blanc in the Loire as the prices have not risen much yet quality continues to improve. Taking on Balland-Chapuis will give us the chance to expand further with this area given that it is in very strong demand from our customer base.
Finally we have agreed an exclusive arrangement with Moncellier. The New Zealand brand is our first venture into New Zealand and we expect to have a some good results. The owners Greg Rowden (wine-maker) and the infamous Bill Spence have starting the product in 2008.
