| Winemakers Notes |
|
Fermentation of this wine took place in small batches using manual push down of the cap as well as pumping over. After pressing, the different batches were matured in French and American oak barriques for 12 months prior to blending and bottling. We have created a fruit driven red wine with good depth of palate and structure. Very little fining was done to allow the wine to age well. |

| Tasting
Note: |
The ruby wine has spicy leathery characteriestics on the nose. Flavours of ripe berry and cassis, with hints of liquorice and tobacco give a rich and complex taste sensation - an impressive length of flavour. The moderate tannins and alcohol in the wine will give it good ageing potential. |

 |
| Tasting
Note: |
Light straw, with slight green tints. Fresh fruit driven nose, with an attractive mix of orchard fruit and citrus characters. The wine is driven by bright, upfront fruit with lemon, green apple and tropical fruit flavours. Malolactic fermentation and lees contact components add length and smoothness to the palate. |
